Tha Abrahamic Covenant (for the kids)


 Do you like to look at the stars? Have you ever been far away from the city lights at night and seen them shine brightly or looked through a telescope to see them even better? God promised to give Abraham so many children and great-grand children and their children’s children that they would be like the stars of the sky. There would be so many they would be like the sand of the beach – so many you can’t count them! Today, there are over 7 billion people in the world. But, God knows who you are and He loves you so much that ‘every hair of your head is numbered!’ (Luke 12:7)

One day, there would be a special star that would lead three wise men to the place where Jesus was born - to Bethlehem - where it would shine directly overhead, like a spotlight shining down from the dark sky.

Abraham and the Lamb

  Abraham and Isaac - Matthew 1:2, Genesis 22 “And Abraham said, ‘God, Himself, will provide  the lamb  for the burnt offering, my son.’ ... Rahab the harlot

Joshua 2 & 6, Matthew 1:5     A red cloth hangs from a window opened high in a stone wall. The city, Jericho, is completely exposed. Its city walls collapsed ... except for one small section, the wall that houses the home of Rahab, the harlot. The refugee nation, Israel, had entered the Promised Land, Canaan, after fleeing Egypt and Jericho was the first city to be conquered. God had instructed the Israelites to march around the city and finally shout aloud.
