2023 Advent

  If the Old Testament communicates God's message that, 'A Savior is Coming!', then the New Testament, announces, 'Our Savior is Here!'  -  Luke 2 - announcing to shepherds near the site of Jesus' birth: "That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified,   but the angel reassured them. 'Don’t be afraid!' he said. 'I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.   The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord —has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! And you will recognize Him by this sign: You will find a Baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a feed trough.' Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others—the armies of heaven—praising God and saying,  ' Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is ple...

   Tomorrow is Christmas Day …  What we’ve waited for is almost here!  During this Christmas Advent, we’ve seen how the Bible pointed to God’s coming Savior, Jesus, in many ways.   In all the excitement of wrapping gifts, preparation for celebrating with food and family, tomorrow don't forget to stop and remember the Reason for the Advent - the Hope of our waiting!  Isaiah 25:9  - It will be said on that day,  “Behold, this is our God; we have waited for Him, that He might save us.  This is the LORD; we have waited for Him; let us be glad and rejoice in His salvation.”
